I know nothing about this company but the geometric genius of this logo elicits a feeling of sheer euphoric pleasure from the deepest recesses of my inner autism.

The transmitting tower on top of the globe has been copied and parodied many times, but it's iconic. Ironic that no one's really heard of the company behind it, RKO

Absolute dogshit. You're blinded by nostalgia. Old thing good. If this had never been the logo and WB changed their logo to this now, you'd be up in arms about muh minimalism, and justifiably so because it's a shitty nothing minimalist logo, the W and B on the art deco shield is much much better. Seriously this logo reminds me of the ironically shitty "Blade Runner" minimalist poster. Grow up.

It feels a bit silly being nostalgic for old studio logos but the music and film look really do hearken back to a time when movies were [often] genuine passion projects and attempts at meaningful art rather than sterile studio projects designed to tick boxes and appeal to everyone.

Me too, and I had a boxed set of the OT soundtracks and I think the first track on each was just a clip of that fanfare, which makes me think they included that because people buying it would be pissed if it wasn't in there

They collectively refer to the various lions used over the years as "Leo" as a mascot, though only one of the lions playing Leo was actually named that, the current one, used since the 50s. This one was named Jackie and was the first one to be filmed roaring for the camera.
Also the roar sound used is a tiger growl, not a roar, roars sound very different, and lion roars are low and rumbling

I know it was a tiger's roar, but didn't know they used different lions. I've always thought it was just one lion. That's pretty cool info!

Tiger's growl, not roar, roars sound different from how people think (since they use tiger growls in movies because they're scary), they're more like deep calls.

They are good with money. They're good with it on a totally different level.
