Last year out of the things I finished, When The Phone Rings was fun trash in the beginning but descended into actual trash by the end. The 8 eps of Wedding Impossible that I watched were also pretty bad but in a more boring way

Personally, I don't rate and list shows I drop, so in the end they are quickly forgotten, and only shows I found at least watchable end up in my completed list, pic related ranked from best to worst (yes I know "kdramas aren't for me etc." stfu and post yours).

Finished the show, my first K-Drama. Yes it was Squid Game. I didnt want to mention it cause I figured some autistic would get mad and spoil the ending since its the normie show. Started it a couple weeks ago and did it in one gulp. Im glad I did because while it had me invested the whole time, I think I would be more negative on it if it sizzled in my mind for years. But as a bingeable show? Its solid.
Its made me interested in started other K-Dramas (as well as J-Drama and C-Drama). I know they will feel very different from Squid Game, but I still think broke the ice for me. Already have several shows lined to decide from.

Subtle eh? Not exactly trippy, but "Into The Ring" has pretty unique cinematography. Lots of shots from unconventional angles and frequent use of ultra-wide lenses. I just wish more shows would experiment a little with their visual style instead of constantly rehashing the same familiar look.

Not quite sure what I think about it unnie.
Is it bad? No.
Is it K-Drama? No. There’s no romance, no tropes, no uWu, no joy, no cuck triangle, no fashion. It’s very gritty and stays dark until the last second.

I am also unsure why the most safe and peaceful societies in the world are so obsessed with these frankly unrealistic scenarios of school kids inflicting biblical levels of violence upon one another.

I completed 26 2024 kdramas (which means they are somewhat of acceptable quality or I'd have drop them), but only 8 in the first half of 2025. In those 8 only 2 of them stands out as high quality for me (Karma and When the stars gossip). Biggest Disappointment was Hyper Knife, it started strong and then quickly turned into ADHD drivel.
