The releasing homeless guys into nice neighborhoods as a super hero was kind of a funny idea but it was like one joke dragged on way too long.

If Sam tried to have fun on set like he does in his IG shitposts, they could edit it down into something funny.

You can tell Nick thinks he's funny with his improvised lines but he has somehow completely lost it between season 1 and now, unless it was always just the adult swim tight editing saving him.

There was no good usage of Charls in this episode really either. Him pretending to understand his indian wife was the only kinda funny bit. Woulda been way better if we got an actual Charls sketch with some thought or abstract idea behind it

After episode 2 and 3, I was starting to warm up to Extreme Peace, and decided to re-watch WP1, and god damn its just so much better. Even the parts where they did get craigslist actors, or real actors. I kind of forgot how brilliant it was.

There is no script in those sketches because the whole point from the start is to bully the actors, no matter how bad or good they are. That's the actual "joke".

Which is a big part of why it didn't work at all with the football sketch in episode 1, because the main guy they chose to bully wasn't actually stupid and was decent at improvising.

San mentioned on PGL he could probably go back and re-edit these episodes to be tighter and cut some fourth wall breaks / dead air. I really hope that’s the case because it could really benefit from trimming the fat and I think it’d be a much better show as a result.

Season 3 is already as good as confirmed, and j hope Sam takes these criticisms to heart going forward. No more game show shit, stop dragging the sketches, and just take more inspiration from the first season which was genuinely better than this in a lot of ways. I love how they kept the music performances, so I’m definitely cool with doing that more and having cooler artists on. Schultz is a serviceable director but man if they could pull Ruse again…. There's also barely any variation in them. All Extreme Peace intros and bumpers try to be cool or badass. A lot of World Peace stuff did that too, but they also could be funny, or just plain strange, like a couple of bumpers from episode one. And they'll never make anything as funny as the brownwashing intro or the open letter to Lena Dunham. The music is also worse in general. So far, some of the bumper tracks have been good, but all the sketch music is utterly forgettable, whereas all the music used in World Peace was extremely memorable. Sketches, intros, graphics, performances and all.
