i disagree on a fundamental level, bro. a true artist will keep evolving and creating new shit until he dies. sometimes it's a new direction, sometimes it's the same direction as the last work, but even FURTHER into a niche corner of the concept. David Bowie kept re-inventing himself and innovating until the day he died. He made his death a work of art. But specimens like that are pretty rare. I think Lynch was equivalent.
