>>212553720I'm in tech and we had this white chick at one company I worked at a few yeas ago who would constantly harp on about her "POC husband"
this was back in like 2014 and I thought nothing of it but one day she let it slip that he was some FOB gook which surprised me because I had never heard before that moment that gooks were POC. It still feels shoehorned to this day, not least of all because they switch between POC when they're anti white, but when they want to get rid of affirmative action in colleges, they're called white adjacent by lishits
ANYWAY
this one time in company slack she said something like "oh my POC husband doesn't like going to <popular hangout nearby> because there's always so many white people there and it makes him feel uncomfortable"
this wasn't some antifa rally she said this at. It wasn't even a throwaway verbal comment. She wrote this shit in company slack in #general or #random or something
and no one even flinched. and it occurs to me that not only did she feel comfortable saying shit like that. her demeanor suggested that she felt it was expected. encouraged even
there's not much you can do about it but from that moment, any hiring panel I was ever on with a woman or a minority, I sunk their candidacy. they're too tribal and once they hit critical mass, the company goes to shit
