He's a good kid, but what was always annoying was his "humor" and interest in comedy. Even if Bobby was sincerely a kid into stand up and jokes, by the time the show takes place, a middle schooler like Bobby would NOT be into the dated vaudevillian shit the show had him interested in; he would've found it gay.

More likely he would be into stuff by George Carlin, Dave Chappelle, Patrice O'neal, etc while also watching Mad TV. Basically edgy, raunchy "dirty humor", not fucking Yakov Smirnoff. I think the only time his sense of humor made sense was in season 1 where he was into god-dang toilet sounds.

That said, I guess Bobby would, given that his main character flaw, aside from being a fat, obnoxious, unfunny little shit, was the fact that he was extremely easy to lead, and would jump on every fucking trend presented to him, before eventually being saved by Hank's conservative common sense.

And no kid in 2002 would think Bobby is funny. I grew up around the same time the show aired, and if you were the "funny kid" in school, you didn't make the lame kid friendly jokes he usually did. Bobby is not funny to anyone over the age of 10.
