The movie is garbage.One-dimensional characters, bad action, poor visuals, a boring plot, laughably bad dialogue โ€” and it commits the biggest sin in cinema: it tells instead of shows. Every character constantly says, "I am so unhappy," and, additionally, the hug was stolen from We Bare Bears.

I could buy this. Bob conquered Void (implied temporarily) only with lots of help. All the heroes obviously worked through their shit with a shared goal in mind to come together and stop the bad guy. They didn't know for sure they, or Bob could even fix it, but what was the alternative? For all they knew they'd be stuck in the torture loop forever. Bobs own psyche fought against him until he stood up to Void spurred on by the only words of encouragement he's probably ever gotten from anyone
For everyone else that got voided...yeesh. even other heroes like Spidey that was probably the last thing he needed. Regular people might not have the strength of will, a support network, or their memory was just too devastating to break away from.

addendum, hit post too quickly
I can see people's time being voided alone leading to some small time supervillains manifesting. At the very least therapy is going to a big push both in story and thematically, and hopefully the themes of >>212560298 aren't overshadowed by progressive feminist bullshit. This can be done by using fact that a whole city legitimately needs therapy because of a specific shared occurrence (being Voided), while also introducing a shyster or two in the mix to show not all therapy is necrssarily good therapy. That way it doesn't detract from, for example, the way Yelena and her dad resolved the bulk of their issue simply by talking TO EACH OTHER rather than needing to seek outside intervention. Walker has every reason to try and patch things up with his wife
I'm rambling now. Thoughts?

ok fair point. but I still think Yelenas opening inner monologue sets the stage that shes ready for something new. As seeking out her dad, and calling Boss lady for a transfer. The belly of the whale moment is when they all get roflstomped by Sentry and she tells everyone to accept their losers then walks away exasperated. This lashing out is clearly the lie she believes, contrasting to what I mentioned as evidence of her willingness to move onto something new and better, or at least different.
A hug is a universal symbol. It may seem corny, but what Bobs conflict shows us is that symbol holds power, especially when you really fucking need it

The problem with almost all of the marvel movies is that the director directs about 15% of the movie, and the rest is just VFX and second unit.
Strange coming back as a zombie with the million ghost hand cape was a pretty fun rami-esque sequence.
The movie definitely needed more of that, and don't call your movie a fucking multiverse when its just basically 2 universes.

But consider that maybe it DIDNT completely go away. He says he has to make sure he doesn't 'let out the other guy' or whatever in the F4 stinger. They could have been less vague about it but i got the impression Bob will always be suppressing Void and therefore has to figure out to how to be Sentry AND Void without it wrecking everything. Like Banner and Hulk did
regarding how it feels bad that he just forgets, maybe they could have alluded to a merging of Sentry and Void and that allows him to remember what happens, like a step towards self-unification in a psyche sense or whatever

I liked the whole first act. The human drama after they return feels contrived and rushed. Like, just seeing you dad cheat once and getting disciplined once leads to pulling a knife on him? He saved your life countless times on the mainland you ungrateful shit. It can't be the first time a man has struck his kid in that medieval town. I know the third act couldn't happen if he didnt decide to leave with his brain damaged mom but jfc let us linger with it before the boy throws his and his mom's lives away risking the journey back

Also was convinced most of runtime because of all the other hints that the infected were evolving (like modern apes are developing tool use etc) like giving birth, pack hunting with subservience to an alpha, bathing, we'd get a payoff. Only the one alpha follows them to the beach and chases them across the land bridge on the return journey. I was expecting a horde to attack the town. And then later an ambush when Spike and Isla return. I was expecting them to see smoke and turns out the infected killed the doctor and led them into a trap. I wasn't angry or disappointed by the actual ending or anything. Intrigued rather
