So, when you start saying Snyderverse is the best version of Superman because it's 100% serious, you're basically saying you prefer Snyderverse because you don't actually like what Superman is, because what Superman actually is is a cheesy dork who walks around in a cape and trunks and proudly tells people his mom made the outfit for him.

If you want "serious" movies, there's plenty to pick from made every year...but you don't actually WANT serious movies, do you? You just want to keep watching comic book movies without feeling ashamed of liking something "for kids", so you need someone to tell you "It's okay, this is actually very serious and mature".

Reportedly it was originally supposed to be a "week long" story with title cards for each day to have a "week in the life of" story for Superman but test screenings reacted negatively to it saying the fucked up the already horrible pacing so they removed that a few months ago and edited it differently can very easily see that being true especially with the out of place crawl and beat up Superman at the start along with the terrible pacing throughout

Because people are retards. Yes Superman used excessive violence and killed someone. It was his first day on the job. A sequel would have been perfect to explore his humanity primarily as Clark since MOS barely touched that and winning back people till he is beloved by the end and turns into the Superman we know. Snyder wanted him to have a journey into being a boy scout with day 1 hiccups not just magically get there without any struggle. I can see why people hated it but I think it was a better Superman origin for him to have regret that causes him to hold back. Snyder was doing the same with Batman it was just very sloppy because both had to be done in a single movie AND kill Superman off and introduce Wonder Woman and it was way to much for a single movie. They needed a MOS 2 before that. So yes I admit Snyder fucked up but there was more potential there
