Line delivery is fucking terrible. All the actors and actresses are ugly as hell. Pa and Ma kent are ridiculous hillbilly caricatures. Using Boravia as a transparent Russia stand-in is pretty absurd. I think it was the tone more than anything else, although some of the decisions the writers made weren't that great either (for example Pa Kent's death and Lex Luthor as a whole).
Otherwise I really enjoyed that direction.

Pretty good ranking. Christopher Reeve remains the best Superman regardless of the movie's quality or even lackthereof, but I've always felt like the character has been done better in animation overall.
"Vs the Elite" is as Superman as you can get.
