"Dick" Cusack (1925โ2003), originally from New York City,[3][4][5] and Ann Paula "Nancy" Cusack (nรฉe Carolan; 1929โ2022),[6] originally from Massachusetts, a former mathematics teacher and political activist.[3][7] John's older sisters, Ann and Joan, are also actors. Cusack has two other siblings, Bill and Susie.[3] The family moved from Manhattan, New York, to Illinois[8][9] and were friends of activist Philip Berrigan.[10]
Darryl Hannah - Her parents divorced, and her mother subsequently married businessman Jerrold Wexler, brother of cinematographer Haskell Wexler.
Kevin Costner - Costner became interested in acting and dancing while in his last year of college.[7][better source needed] In 1978, while on an airplane returning from his honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta, Costner had a chance encounter with actor Richard Burton. Early in his life, Costner was a Republican. He was both a supporter and friend of Ronald Reagan, frequently playing golf with the former president.
Jack Nicholson - John Joseph Nicholson was born on April 22, 1937, in Neptune City, New Jersey,[5][6] the son of a showgirl, June Frances Nicholson (stage name June Nilson; 1918โ1963).[7][8] Nicholson's mother was of Irish, English, German, and Welsh descent. Nicholson has identified as Irish, comparing himself to the playwright Eugene O'Neill, whom he played in the film Reds (1981): "I'm not saying I'm as dark as he was ... but I am a writer, I am Irish, I have had problems with my family."[9] His mother married Italian-American showman Donald Furcillo (stage name Donald Rose; 1909โ1997) in 1936, before realizing that he was already married.[10]:8[11] Biographer Patrick McGilligan stated in his book Jack's Life that Latvian-born Eddie King (originally Edgar A. Kirschfeld),[12] June's manager, may have been Nicholson's biological father, rather than Furcillo.
