russia and india adore this movie
>>212586601 (OP)Superman is never characterized as saving people because he wants to, it always seems as though he's saving others because he feels he has to despite not intrinsically giving a shit.
It was made by (((christian scientist)))
>>212586601 (OP)>you're the answer to "are we alone in the universe?"They couldn't think of a better way of writing that line?
>You're the answer, son. Because of you, we know that we're not alone in the universeSee? As easy as that
>>212586601 (OP)Because WB tapped Snyder to follow up Nolanโs Batman trilogy with a similarly grounded/realistic Superman trilogy.
i watched it last week and i surprised by how fucking dark it was. It was really annoying, the colour palette was atrocious
>>212586601 (OP)Snyder movies aren't bad for one reason, they're bad for like 500 separate reasons each.
>>212586628Isn't his introduction in the movie saving some random woman from truckers? And he does so anonymously.
Still the only superman movie that resonates with a real audience and post 9/11
>Superman flopping internationally
Alas
>>212586990now torrent the Snyder Cut of JL and skip around that. it's even more fucking ridiculous, the guy has zero artistic sensibilities.
>>212586601 (OP)Idc what anyone says about this movie. it's the DBZ movie we never got and I love it.
>>212587020>made less money than Wonder Woman and Aquaman despite being a fucking SUPERMAN filmWB may as well have just bulldozed money into a pit and burned it.
>>212587068Tbf it had rough competition with a Pixar sequel, Brad Pitt movie and more
>>212587068Aquaman had the zany factor (Aquaman is actually cool?!), and both had a boost from being part of a shared universe, which prompts people to see every movie connected to it. MoS didn't have that. I guess some people thought it was connected to Nolan's Batman, but it wasn't.
>>212587101yeah I hear the competition for Sucker Punch, Watchmen, Batman V Superman and the Snyder Cut was all pretty stiff. very unfortunate those movies didn't have the chance they deserved.
>>212587011He also acts super depressed about it before, during and after the fact - like it was a huge burden that took up part of his day.
>>212586625After all the replies in all these threads I am thoroughly convinced we can have no more kino until every Indian is genocided.
>>212587156tbf, that is how a real godlike alien would act. Chaotic Good Superman is actually way more realistic, and relatable for modern audiences.
>>212587171I wasn't making an argument I was mocking you.
sorry I thought that was readily apparent.
I just think Gunn's Superman is fucking BORING! Like it's so middle of the road. If it was actually golden age, and Superman could only jump high and he didn't have greebles all over his suit, it would be amazing. OR, if it was super modern and focused on Superman falling from grace as he couldn't live up to the godlike standard he is held to - that would also be awesome. What isn't awesome is some safe retread of all the Superman stories we've gotten on screen so far. Just so safe and boring.
snyder doesn't have the "it" factor
>>212586601 (OP)You think that Jew, because you have no soul.
>>212587192>relatable for modern audiencesOne of the primary complaints about Man of Steel was how little anyone could relate to Superman
