I must be stupid because I always thought Superman was nearly as fast as The Flash who was impossibly fast. But anything I see with Superman he doesn't seem to have this kind of speed. Does he not? Why isn't he near-instantaneously whisking his father to safety and returning to the underpass in a quarter of a blink? Why is superman saving squirrels but random people in metropolis every half hour, instead he's making breakfast for dinner.
