>SUPERMAN' cast salaries:
• David Corenswet: $750,000
• Rachel Brosnahan: $750,000
• Nicholas Hoult: $2 million

James Gunn is an evil evil man, he's paying actors way less than Marvel does

RDJ got paid 500k for the first Iron Man and he was actually famous so a literal whomst've like Corenswet getting this is actually generous

RDJ was a massive risk at the time though. I never heard of Cornsweat before this, but the fact is he's starring as Superman in a big budget movie. He should get a few million. Hoult should have gotten more too

You also have to deduct the 10 and 15% to their agent and manager. Plus 25% to the federal government and another 25% to the state of California. Actors these days don't make shit. Clothes, rent, food, car, insurance, etc. The actor who plays Jesus in the hit show The Chosen manages a small apartment building and drives a 20+ year old Infiniti and was doing small bits for 20 years before he got the Jesus role. Unless your Tom Cruise actors don't get paid shit.

David and Rachel absolutely banged btw. Feels good to have a straight superman actor for the first time in 20 years.

none of them are box office draws, there's a reason Gunn was doing most of the marketing himself, he's the most famous name attached to the film. they'll get more for the sequels if this movie makes Corenswet a star.

as an actor you're basically selling yourself to advertisements and merch and shit, which leads to your private life being invaded all the time.

It usually doesn't go well for Superman actors, just look at Ben Affleck.

He's been in a lot of blockbuster films. I'm surprised he got so little for such a big role.

Why the fuck is Lois Lane getting paid as much as Superman? Lois Lane is not the draw of the movie.

Because unlike Corensneed he actually has a career and can walk away from the table if they offer him pennies. They could have offered the other 2 nobodies half a sandwich and they'd say yeah because they have no choice.

>he's paying actors way less than Marvel does
Marvel gets away with it because they pay the creators way less.
Reminder than Jim Starlin got more for KGBeast in BvS than he did for Thanos in the MCU.
