After about 2009 she started focusing a lot more on her family. She still did RE films, and still did some indie projects, but she has apparently never really cared for big budget filmmaking because it requires her to be away from her kids for several months at a time.

She has some interesting projects lined up. Protector could be good. Same director as Get the Gringo and Rambo Last Blood. She's supposedly doing Twilight of the Dead, but I think that got pushed back.

I have never seen any of the Resident Evil movies (or played the games)

1st is best it has enough of the broad strokes to feel very RE but has a lot of it's own style, second has sexy jill and a lot of game fan service so a fun movie, the other 4 are a mixed bag of ideas, game scenes and expanded universe RE stuff from the perry books and also their own thing. I always found 4 and 6 the weakest of the films but if you just want to see milla and company kicking ass they are nice movies. Don't treat them as game accurate in any way. The movies did influence the games somewhat but they both exist in different timelines.

the first movie is pretty good. second movie is so-so. Anything beyond that I lost track of what was even happening. Mostly not good 3 and beyond. Space Ice did some funny vids on this series on youtube.

In the movie continuity who is Wesker again? I know he's the STARS guy in the games, but the movies doesn't he just show up as a bad guy? The movies are extremely messy: they set things up as original stories, then drift in with the characters from the gaems, then drift out. Most of the series is set in a zombie apocalypse so it's so radically different there already.
