Maybe in the '90s. People working in cubicles today use noise cancelling headphones and are listening to audiobooks/podcasts/music through out the day.

Most of this is just gen x "fighting the man" fake rebellion nonsense.
The office space guy was doing actually shit tier it work - digitizing files in the late '90s. But its not like you spend your entire career doing that kind of grunt work.

Nigger, I would love and wish for an office job. That's like the DREAM goal. In an age where jobs are not only highly competitive and pipe dreams, we zoomers are relegated to ACTUAL soul-crushing jobs like waging as waiters, fastfood/McDonalds, and uber drivers for pennies, while having expensive degrees wasting away.

Gen-Xers were just whiny faggots and just as privileged as boomers.

No, it was the 90s and people could still have romance and fun and shit. It was great compared to now.

The fact of the matter is you have to work in order to live, unless you grift/scam people on the internet. White collar office jobs are still the best/most prestigious compared to anything blue collar or retail. Retail workers in the US are treated like sub-humans. I'm praying for you retail bros.

Digitising files? You mean he just looked at written stuff and typed it into Word? Sounds like a nice, easy job.

It's insanely easy for the first month or two and then your brain starts rejecting the monotony hard. Unless you have a super fulfilling life outside of work it'll depress the shit out of you long term.

It was infinitely better than the "open concept" offices of today. White collar wagecucking is miserable.
