Bones>Doctor>Phlox>Bashier>Crusher>Pulaski
Bones is the most based, EMH carries VOY and is the best character on that show, Phlox is silly and an enjoyable side character, Bashier is the smartest but also the most pathetic, Crusher sure is the doctor on the enterprise and Pulaski is McCoy but not at all based.

Okay I usually wouldn't post ai slop but I couldn't find an article so

>which doctor saved the most lives in star trek
Key contenders for "most lives saved" in Star Trek:
Dr. Beverly Crusher:
As the Chief Medical Officer on the USS Enterprise-D and later the Enterprise-E, Dr. Crusher faced a vast array of medical emergencies, from common illnesses to complex alien physiology and encounters with powerful alien entities like the Borg, requiring her to save numerous lives and prepare for countless potential situations.
The EMH (Emergency Medical Hologram):
Programmed with nearly the entire medical knowledge of the Federation, including millions of surgical procedures, the EMH on Voyager was exceptionally skilled and potentially capable of saving a vast number of lives, especially in diverse and challenging scenarios encountered in the Delta Quadrant.
Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy:
As a doctor on the USS Enterprise in Star Trek: The Original Series, McCoy consistently relied on his medical knowledge and quick thinking to save lives during numerous dangerous situations and encounters, though the sheer volume of lives he directly saved is likely less than those of the Enterprise-D/E's chief medical officer or the EMH.
Dr. Katherine Pulaski:
While serving as the Chief Medical Officer on the Enterprise-D during its second season, Dr. Pulaski also demonstrated exceptional medical skill, notably saving Captain Picard and Commander Riker and performing a complex surgery on Worf, and even putting herself at risk to save a planet.

It's not illogical. The obvious fact of the matter is that he considered McCoy one of his best friends despite their bickering. Which suggests Spock did enjoy, otherwise he wouldn't have also participated in it. And you could even argue that being lovingly bullied for his Vulcan qualities was even validating for him since McCoy was always pointing out how he was more like alien and we know Spock tried to suppress his most human traits since he wad taught they were "inferior" or whatever. But at the end of the day, what it they felt for each other was love. McCoy doesn't have a hateful bone in his body.

Why do you think they all want to come here? The job thing is just the portal to the white women. Sure, it's fantasy they can't fulfill, but here on our land they have a shot. That's it. Foreigners want to fuck our women, just like all of history, ever.

They forget that male Vulcans have it half the time too. And then they'll remember and make it a plot point.

But it should apply to all of them. It's because of the conditions of their planet forcing them into a path of evolution with much denser muscle fiber than humans. I can't remember where they actually explain it away with a one-off line, TOS maybe?
But it's definitely not a thing that should be gender specific. They should all have that strength.

Thereโ€™s no good reason heโ€™s not Lore short of some sort of severe program lobotomization, and given the number of times he went rogue due to remote control Iโ€™d consider him a huge liability and have him put off the ship

I think the reason the writers leaned so hard on characters such as Data and Worf was because their actors had such strong range and could handle anything that was thrown at them. I'm wrapping up my S7 rewatch Which means I get to start DS9 soon! and every other episode is carried by Spiner or Dorn. Meanwhile the other characters are lucky to have one or two episodes of focus.

You could either get an external HDD or a BD set. You have two options for BDs. The older model which is sorted by season and may be harder to find and more expensive. Then thereโ€™s the newer model which I have, which is a big cluster of discs. Itโ€™s good for price and storage, but finding a particular episode is a massive pain.

What historical/cultural era would be your shtick/R&R in the holodeck?

Picard: mid-20th century hard-nosed detective
Beverly Crusher/Janeway: Jane Austen-type holonovels
Data: Sherlock Holmes
Alexander: 19th century american west

I'd be the guy super into the napoleonic wars era. Being one of Napoleon's marshal's commanding the line infantry/cavalry. Shoot the shit with holo-Napoleon, bayonet charge shit, routing regiments and cutting them down with cavalry. Shit would be so cash.

I agree with you that troi and guinan are redundant, but you need a doctor on Trek. Iโ€™m not a big crusher fan, but thereโ€™s a reason they immediately replace McFadden in season 2 with another full time character. I also never said that recurring parts on Trek were bad. Yeah it can be a big stepping stone for an up and coming actor. Denise Crosby isnโ€™t a strong actress and putting Dorn in the role as security chief was a more interesting choice. I donโ€™t think Iโ€™m wrong in saying that.

i said the character was redundant not the role so yeah you need a doctor but crusher doesnt even fucking count. realistically her position was mom for wesley who was an actual vital deuteragonist for most of the show.
>worf
clearly worf was always best choice for security chief, it doesn't make any fucking sense to do otherwise. yar as security chief when worf exists is nonsense unless it was rotating-chief-engineer style or something which is awful. worf wins there hands down.

yar could clearly never replace worf or riker as sidekick XO or troi as bridge bimbo or crusher as doctor. there is no space for a yar ROLE but her CHARACTER fits the show themes more than most. as the cold bitch opening up and growing into sort of familial role for data and wesley who she had great chemistry with and another daddy issues for picard to mentor in a different way. she probably shouldn't bang every single one of them but that is almost unavoidable with a crosby.

>First Contact
has better production values but still has a retarded "you chose to go back to that point in time" pothole
>Insurrection
is a very low budget production with a somewhat tng like plot and a batshit third act
>Nemesis
Is retardedatkrr

Whoopi Goldberg was an A list celebrity and personal friend of Patrick Stewart. Not the screeching hag on The View she is now. They scheduled episodes around her availability she was such a big deal.

Brent has great comedic timing which is why early Data was less Spock and more comic relief.

it's honestly shocking how bad they get. you don't think it could get any worse after Insurrection, but then you watch Nemesis and they somehow top themselves. really bad. just re-run tng bro

i dont even hate whoopie and she wasn't an A-lister til 90s really but still the biggest name attached to the cast. i think guinan is actually a really okay character but terrible for her specifically. she clearly did not want to be main cast though, doing real movie shit by that point.

she could have been an A-lister in 1985 but you know what she did between then and 1990? absolute fucking garbage, she was a complete flop magnet til ghost where she found her niche and then had tons of hits into the mid-late 90s.

I'm on episode 7 of season 6 of TNG, and frankly I think I'm bored. The episodic format is so stale and it seems like the good episodes are in the rear view mirror. Like the episode I Just watched, "Schisms", was basically if "Clues" (a peak episode) was made by the season 1 era writers. Can I move on to Deep Space Nine now? Or are there actually still some worthwhile episodes I should skip passed this slop for?

True. Iโ€™m Canadian so we never gave a shit about Roots but I do think I remember him from Reading Rainbow prior to trek. I also think people were sort of aware of Patrick Stuart because of Dune
