[CUT TO: Cloud Strife (played by a brooding Timothy Chalamee) slamming his Buster Sword into the ground, sparks flying everywhere.]

CLOUD:

SEPHIROTH (holding a hotdog):
"Yeah? How 'bout you ketchup first?"

[Smash cut to a chaotic battle: Summons exploding, materia glowing, and Sephiroth inexplicably doing the Waterboy tackle on Barret.]

BARRET (IDRIS ELBA):

SEPHIROTH (shrugs):
"Sorry, I got carried away. MAKO does crazy things to a guy!"

[Quick cuts of Tifa (ZENDAYA) roundhouse kicking, Red XIII (SETH ROGEN) looking confused, and Cid (CHRIS PRATT) lighting a cigarette as explosions rage around him.]


[SEPHIROTH dramatically holds out his hand to summon Meteor, only for it to fizzle.]

SEPHIROTH:

[Cue a montage of absurdly cheesy scenes: Sephiroth singing karaoke at the Gold Saucer, riding a Chocobo in slow motion, and doing an awkward thumbs-up while Jenova facepalms in the background.]

NARRATOR:

[CUT TO: Sephiroth dancing awkwardly with a group of Shinra grunts as "One-Winged Angel" plays in a disco remix.]

Capeslop, star wars does not have the overwhelming obsession that superhero films do, though I think it took a DC film to get this much coverage, a new marvel film would not be spammed like this, btw im an old school DC fag

I don’t care about star wars so them raping it doesn’t bother me. I don’t care about comics either but they annoy me more so I’m going with that. I think they have done more damage to regular movies and also think about how much money and “talent” went into making them. At least some of that could have gone into making other stuff.

The whole reason Star Wars became so terrible is because of capeshit. Disney made mad money with Marvel and gave Star Wars the same treatment. Get rid of capeshit, and Star Wars is only what Lucas Films allows and a lot of EU books.

It’s not real sci-fi and even the decent bits are mediocre and rely on cool atmosphere. they don’t even capitalize on that, later entries bleach out the feeling of an interesting, mysterious galaxy. I’d still delete capeslop though

Definitely cape slop. The Original Star Wars trilogy is top notch. Maybe Hollywood would have produced something good in the past 20 years if all their effort wasn't going into "Justice Squad 17: The Dark Awakening".
