The Batman's universe is way to grounded to actually compete with the cartoon comicbook world Gunn presents in Superman. Like Superman deals with blackholes while the batman has a rocket on a muscle car. It would be embarrassing to see them on screen together.

BvS had a fucking NUCLEAR opening though. It was the 4th highest opening of all time at that point. It just dropped off drastically after people watched it and word of mouth was terrible. And it still made nearly 900m.
If Gunn makes a crowd pleasing movie with both characters it’ll clear 1 billy easily. BvS fumbled a layup.
