>>212701401 (OP)CURRENT THING allegory as a plot device that gets resolved more cartoonishly quickly without consequences than the 1940s cartoon where Superman saves Metropolis from getting 9/11 by Japs, despite that the beginning half of the movie starts with Superman getting ragged on for getting involved in CURRENT THING allegory without thinking the consequences.
So much of Gunn's Superman's characterization comes off as reactionary towards Snyder's Superman.
Snyderman didn't care about saving others(?) -> Gunnman cares about saving others more than the other heroes, borderline making them look careless, and makes you doubt if they could solve a city scale threat without casualties if Gunnman isn't there. Even if they presumably do it in the background as a visual gag during a certain scene.
Snyderman killed Zod -> Gunnman is such a humanist he complains that the other heroes couldn't capture then send a giant monster to space zoo alive.
Snyderman was so powerful it made having a Justice League look pointless -> Gunnman gets the shit kicked out of him several times, and receives help. Mainly the fucking dog. The fucking dog is surprisingly important in helping Gunnman out of a jam several times in the movie.
Snyderfans say mean things about me -> You are all Lex Luthor's monkeys
Somehow made the villain behave in a way that has less dignity than the villain in the fucking live action Speed Racer when he lost.
