Was Napoleon unironically a genius?
>total nobody at 25, no connections, no wealth. (Italy was a backwater shithole similar to Louisiana)
>became the most promising Politician just 10 years later with nothing but his charisma
>created the most gigantic mass movement in human history from scratch. (Democratic Bonapartism)
>created an entire ideology from scratch. (Democratic Bonapartism)
>got rid of hunger and unemployment
>gave a defeated and demoralised people their faith and confidence back
>told the French they're the best people in the world in a time when they were considered a joke
>literally risked his own life in French Revolutionary Wars for his nation
>whenever he spoke the crowd became fucking ecstatic, almost like under a spell
>conquered all of Europe and almost Russia
>conquered more territory than Caesar or Alexander in a ridiculously short time
>withstood the entire planet for 12 years
>still lost due to betrayal by Murat and Grouchy
>went down fighting till the last second, didn't even consider surrendering.
>Was charismatic enough to avoid execution unlike Mussolini.

Seriously, was he even a human? There must have been demonic possession involved or aliens or some shit because there is no way that 1 person can achieve so fucking much in a single lifetime and have such a titanic willpower

He was one of the greatest military commanders ever and that is all you needed to make it to the top in those days.
Also the french Directory was rotten and weak so he took the chance to stage a coup and take power.
The same thing has happened a lot of times in history, Gaddafi, Idi Amin,...

You guys have a googoogaga-tier view of history and life in general if you think he genuinely organized and did all of this shit on his own and by his own volition.

Same shit with Alexander.
A big part of being the guy that retards think is a magical super genius is being charismatic, clever, disciplined, and strong enough to be properly dispositioned to take advantage of opportunities when they arise. Napoleon, Alexander, Ptolemy, Cyrus, Caesar, Augustus, all of these men were good at this but it isn't brought up.
Napoleon succeeded because he put the materials that the revolution had built to work and convinced others to believe in him and themselves. Alexander did the same with Philip's legacy.
This in no way discounts their greatness, it just means they were amazing at different things that no one ever gives them credit for.

most of Napoleon's reforms were stuff the previous administrations (including the Bourbons) had wanted to do but couldn't get the political will to enact, and were things which had been proven effective first in other countries.

Go read Napoleon by Bainville. He explains how he seized power and it has nothing to do with aliens or gods. Before the Coup d'Etat he did with his brother, he was depressed, and not really respected by anyone. Even his wife was mocking him during his Italy campaign and cucking him too.

Napoleon was a man with a "mathematical" mind, he was good at making calculs. And he read a lot of book. And he had help from others too.

Bainville"s book is a short read (300-400 pages in my french edition). Its well written, nothing complicated.
