Reminder that this isn't true because MoS opening doesn't include the previews

Even if you go for WW OW cope MoS had a staggered release with some of it's biggest markets opening a week later

Love it when Snyder fags do muh adjuster for inflation for MOS but they never do it for Superman ‘78. Which if you go by that, completely destroys MOS

No one's saying it didn't, bro. Yes, Superman 78 is the highest grossing Superman movie of all time. What's wrong with that?

Opening weekends don’t mean shit! It all means is marketing did it’s job. This weekend is what will count. If this movie pulls a MOS and falls off a cliff with a 67% drop off, it’s not good. I don’t think it will besides second weekend is when good reviews and word of mouth pays off, which MOS had none of

My initial bet was 400-500 million total but after watching anything goes. It's pretty bad, MoS is shit but this is felt like Phase 5 MCU, also there is no good will from the audience for bad capeshit, specially from DC at this point.

Bro, Gunnman might not even be profitable at all. It might not even make its money back. MoS made its money back and was profitable.

But it did make less than BvS lol

"Notably, it is also the biggest opening weekend for a solo Superman movie in history. That fact does come with an asterisk, as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opened to $166 million in 2016"

And

"While Gunn’s Superman did outgross Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel in their respective opening weekends, $122 million versus $116 million, it’s worth noting that those numbers don’t take inflation into account — and if you adjust Man of Steel’s total, you wind up with $161 million"

This was already proven to be a lie. They're leaving out the Man of Steel previews but leaving it in for the Superman total to make it seem like it made more. Thats not bullshit, thats just fact

One thing worth noting, while Superman is the most famous and recognizable superhero of all time, he's not *that* popular. I mean he still is quite popular, but he's no Batman or Spider-Man.
He was back in the day, around the time of the Chris Reeve films, I think adjusted for inflation Superman (1978) made well over a billion in todays money.
But that hasn't been the case for the Man of Steel ever since.

So around half a billion, maybe for an ideal movie up to 700/800 million, is the limit for a character like Superman.
Funnily enough Wonder Woman might have more potential to make more money if she is ever given a good enough film with a strong enough pish.
