Its super hero fatigue. Honestly the new Avengers and Fantastic 4 aren't helping, those look like duds and its bringing down the DCU (not that they had a chance). WB is just beyond stupid, they NEED a cinematic universe so they shoehorned Gunn in with a bunch of zoomer bait to make a new franchise, unfortunately your movie has to actually have some substtance and appeal to multiple demographics if you want that kind of success.
