Whereas 3D animation is always soulless. If it's a high-end production relying on visuals, it's just gonna be the same-looking soulless photorealistic slop. And low-budget productions can only rely on degenerative abstract art. Regardless, both age like milk and even the currently visually impressive tech will be antiquated by an even more currently impressive tech in a few years. Hand-drawn animation is eternal and timeless.

I regret the torture of the last 15 years after the abandonment of the hand-drawn animation in favor of soulless but profitable 3D.

Americans have always believed that more frames = more better when it comes to animation, even if it's just some idiot tracing people's movements, so 3D was a natural transition to them. And now they're getting btfo by both China and Japan.

Practice only if you have the talent for it. Most actual artists said that "I'm talentless but I can draw because I'm practiciing" that's bullshit because they have the talent for it, and they themselves proved it. Either they are being ignorant for those who didnt make it or they just trying to be nice with people.
But still, whether you can draw or not its not necessary if you want to work in major animation studio; being talented or not doesnt really make any difference in there

Good one. Traditional animation is expensive as fuck to produce because of how time consuming it is. Even if you would play veteran professional animators minimum wage, if you want the film to be made within 1-2 years you would need to hire an entire army of animators.

Actual animation schools are few and far between and 90% of the class quits before graduating. Problem is not the quality of the teaching, problem is that most students are lazy and want to be famous artists without putting in the effort. So after the first practice animations when they realize it takes an entire week to have their OC furry or whatever turn around to the camera and wave its hand, they switch classes to Graphic Design instead.

If you choose traditional animation as your dream profession, you need to have a Blue Collar "incentive wage" mindset for it. And for the only reason that you have to draw a crazy amount to get anything done. Animating by hand is a mix of 12 fps and 24 fps frames, meaning for every 10 second of footage you need to draw minimum 120-240 images.
