After the highs of S4-5, S6 is dogshit by comparison. Nothing whatsoever happens. Just feels like a filler prelude to S7

Nah, one a done for me. Would never rewatch. Apples and oranges. BCS is central plot, Shield is procedural.

I agree, S6 has easily the weakest plot of the series (Corrine's dream about Lem) and it's the worst season if you ignore S1.

However the fact that a show with this kind of premise was able to top itself for the course of five seasons is still incredible to this day. Not to mention that S7 is one of the strongest final seasons for a TV show and the finale on its own might be the greatest to ever be put on the little screen.

S1 was bretty good imo. The plot with Gilroy squeezing in on Vic was tense as hell

Plot was clearly well structured from the start and the ending is phenomenal. I agree with your criticism on BCS, but you gotta understand that after X-Files, Vince became a hack and oughts his entire career success to Shawn Ryan.

It's already better than 90% of TV procedural dramas like House or CSI. I just find the bridge between the exceptional pilot to Gilroy's plot point to be hit or miss for the most part, specially after watching seasons 2 and 3 already.

This. Still don't understand the rewatchable concept though, some scenes or even episodes ok but a whole show?

BCS had the same problem is breaking bad. All the cliffhangers and twists and BRAVO VINCES kill the rewatch value.
