-the humans are even more eviler
-there is no longer a human good side for us to identify with or root for, it's just the savages
-strong push for race mixing
-the savages have done nothing in 10 years to prepare for the humans returning, except breed like rabbits
-a big chunk of the movie is about kids and teenagers drama, adults take a backseat
-there's an hour long subplot about saving a whale, and they talk to the whales, i think there's even a musical number
-it's even more neon eye gouging than the first, due to the bright yellow-cyan "colors of the sea"
-half an hour long subplots connected to nothing, you forget what's the main plot

I really don't get it. These movies make a shit ton of money, literally two of the biggest box office in the world yet there's no fanbase, there's no like people obsessed with the movies and following the extended universe or begging for more stuff to come out of this franchise, like where are the "trekkies" of the Avatar series? It's the type of series I'd expect to have that kind of following but it's just not there.

I know you're probably too young for this but people got literally depressed after seeing the first movie. And the fanbase is that it's a James Cameron movie, the guy that made True Lies, Aliens, Terminator, and Titanic. To the Millenials and Gen X, he's THE blockbuster guy. As soon as he got his start all those decades ago, he's never made a flop.

Please see Blandtastic Bore, it might not be as good as Superman, but it does have a preview of a film you actually want to see...

Disney did this exact same tactic by releasing the Tron Legacy trailer with the Alice in Wonderbland film in an effort to try to increase its first weekend's box office. It was quite funny seeing the theatre half empty when the ratings card for the main film appeared.

Why would people watch a visually stunning film with a plot that keeps you entertained for over 3 hours, and James Cameron action scenes that are made even more spectacular and immersive by the perfect 3D in the cinema?
