I did survive D-Day

All 3 of my grandpas fought in World War 2 (my grandpa had a twin) 2 of them worked on a aircraft carriers flight deck and 1 flew a bomber. So none of them were in active infantry combat roles. So probably no.

It was pretty obvious Soviets were going to invade and take over all of western europe. The war against Hitler was ended up being how much territory falls to Stalin.
