I do like the idea that I've seen floating around of them bringing in Reeves' Batman and letting each character's movies have their own distinct tone. Dark and brooding for Batman and hope and whimsy for Superman. They even have their own sort of "theme song" people have attached each of them now with Batman having Something in the Way and Superman now having Punkrocker.

Reeves' Batman is great because Gotham feels grounded and contained. As soon as you start adding supervillains and aliens, it falls into the marvel trap of being both stupid and nonsensical.
