What did you think if Edi's acting in Superman? Was he a good Mr Terrific? How would you rate him?

One of the most based black characters since the 90s or early 2000s

I liked him a lot. The action sequence where he took out all the guards at the camp was phenomenal, reminded me of the best action set pieces from Guardians of the Galaxy. He pulled off a pretty good balance of being terse, kinda weird, but a solid friend. He worked great as a supporting character, not sure how he'd hold up in his own flick but Mr Terrific isn't even C-list as far as DC characters go so I doubt they'll try to make him a headliner.

Hope he's in whatever sequel they're planning though.

The only good thing I hear about the film is his acting, even if he ends up saving the world instead of superman.

Best trait is shutting down buffoonery around himself.
As soon as someone tried to clown it up he scoffed at it or audibly complained.

they also liked the black robot from Raised by Wolves for the same thing (he was a literal eunuch with a female personality)

I mean we've got 50% of the team here, and The Terrifics seem exactly like the kind of team Gunn would drool over. Guy and Hawk Girl's costumes look kind of on point for it as well.

He was absolute kino and the perfect antidote to quipslop. Every time someone was acting silly he just made them stop talking with the autist stare of condescension. His own jokes were classic, Wesley Snipes style wisecracks, I was surprised that Gunn was able to give a character humour beyond the "THAT just happened" shit.

You didn't watch the film. The twist wasn't that Mr Terrific was smart. The twist was that he was actually kind of an aloof asshole who knew how to fight.

I liked Mr Terrific but his action scene sucked. There is nothing exciting about balls flying around, and I guess they tried to make it as exciting as possible but all they really did was make a visual mess where you can't see any of the balls.
Anonymous No.212798861 >>212799038

Gunn tried to recapture the guy from the GotG movie, I forget the name, with the red cyber mohawk, that guy. The way he was fighting with the whistling needle thingie. Same idea here except with the balls.
That's why Lois is going all "omg amazing" even though it's pretty mundane and she likely saw this guy fight on live broadcasts like hundreds of times.
