It wasn't the bulk of the video. In a few segments, he quotes brief portions of the article, and not even verbatim. He also inserted a lot of jokes and comedy into it. While it was still plagiarism it's not the same as "he stole the entire script." It was enough for them to copyright claim his video and it was taken down.
The bigger issue is that hbomberguy decided to crucify him while giving Hasan a pass. Hasan will play videos from start to finish on his livestream with no commentary because he gets up and leaves. He does this so often his chat calls it "chair commentary." That's blatant theft but Hasan got a pass because he's extremely leftist. Internet Historian got attacked because he made some edgy jokes in the past. It was a politically motivated smear campaign against a guy who was barely political. It's the same reason Hbomberguy hates Jontron. Not because Jontron makes bad videos. Hbomberguy loved his videos. But Jontron had the wrong opinions politically so he's the devil. Yet Jontron is barely ever political.
