I thought Hannah and Her Sisters was OK when I saw it but that was a long time ago. I might not be so impressed now.

Most of the time he's just too annoying to bear, even when the film is good for what it is (e.g. Annie Hall or Manhattan).

Imagine how hot it was for him and his adopted kid to get into a relationship, in secret.

It's a disgusting act no doubt, but just imagine.

It's probably not his best movie, but my personal favorite was always Manhattan Murder Mystery.

The master of the self-insert, doesn't fuck around, inserts himself literally into the role of the hero/supermodel banger. From that perspective, I should admire himβ€”but instead I just want him to move to Israel.

I've seen almost all of Allen's movies and I agree with you that Stardust Memories is the best. His run from 1977 to sometime in the early 90's was his best output. If you were to have a Woody Allen marathon, you could start the marathon with Annie Hall, in my opinion. That's when he really became Woody Allen. The stuff before Annie Hall isn't really that good.

As someone who loves his films and has seen just about all of them, I can safely say which one's rank amongst his best
>Manhattan
>The Purple Rose of Cairo

>Bullets over Broadway
>Midnight in Paris
not his best, but criminally underrated

You're a faggot and she wasn't his adopted kid. Basically she was an adopted kid of his girlfriend, who he didn't live with. She bitched that he doesn't have any connection to her children, so she forced him to spend time with her. He realized, that a cute asian girl is much better gf than annoying aging American feminist.

Match Point which is in turn a thematic remake of his own film Crimes and Misdemeanors. I'm glad he came back to it because there's a kernel of genius at the heart of the idea that's hard to explain but can only really be recognized by Woody Allen's neurosis.
