idol or not, i've seen way worse in terms of acting; she's not the first to have to play a stoic character that has a big meltdown scene at one point where she breaks down bawling her eyes out, but imo she successfully cleared that hurdle where many has failed
and aside from that she brings a certain gravitas to her character which is imo essential to the success and acclaim of the show
