Isn't the visual style and format of a late night show anachronistic? It celebrates the rich sophisticated socialite of the 60s that lives in a penthouse. But these people neither exist anymore, if ever out side of fantasy, and are no longer looked up to.

Well the only people who still watch these shows were alive in the 60s so it's really just a nostalgia thing at this point.
