Watched it recently got the first time since the cinema. Maybe the dvd release was uncut because goddamn it's more graphic than I remember. The whole thing is a prolonged dread spiral with one guy clearly doing his best to keep it together despite being understandably way out of his depth. Would recommend.

Love this movie. Insane how poorly reviewed movies from 20 years ago easily mog every modern film. We have fallen so far as a society. 30 Days of Night is another absolute kino of a movie that got bad reviews back then but would be hailed as a masterpiece if released in current year

Read this shit a few weeks ago. I didn't bother watching it after realizing its probably too gory to film, even by 90s/00s horror standards. I should check it out though, because i love Patrick whatshisface.

30 Days of Night is total garbage and I would take any almost-average horror movie made in Current Year over that shitball. And I'm Hartnett's biggest fan.

Isn't this just like Cabin Fever where they get sick with rashes and die?

30 Days of Night isn't that bad. Great atmosphere and first half. But once they start hiding in the attic it gets boring. Same goes for the Silent Hill movie once they get to the church.

Any chance of good atmosphere was killed when they decided to light every shot with floodlights.

The leg scene was fucked up to watch high, but what your noticing is fairly common. Every older movie feels like it was made with at least a little bit of passion and soul, even the bad ones

The cutoff is constantly moving because movies continue to get worse.
