BvS is my favorite cbm of all time and yet I harshly disagree with Snyder’s direction post Justice League. IMO BvS should be the darkest part of part of Superman’s life. Post resurrection Superman should have a big character change. Taking up the leadership mantle and a strict confidence that wasn’t there before as part of his second chance at life. This is why more or less I could get behind killing him off at the start. MCU is slop but at least all the major characters had clear progression and story arcs across many movies that actually reached conclusions, with the underlying Thanos/Infinity Stones plot being foreshadowed years in advance.
That's why the MCU tailed off since Endgame. People were encouraged to keep watching every movie because they were all linked with a background plot that was slowly advancing towards a constantly teased zenith. Once they spaffed the load at least half the audience lost interest. But DC never fostered that interest in the first place.
