He'd go completely insane trying to fit in when he didn't even fit in before. With podcasting though he could do his own thing, still do standup and probably have a residency at a club, and end up about as comfortably wealthy as he always wanted to be. That being said, he didn't take care of himself physically and his attitude sort of ensured he was going to die from that inevitably. It's also part of his appeal unfortunately since he was just an unyielding bastard that it applied even with regards to his own health. Patrice would probably still be here if he just took better care of himself. He didn't even drink or smoke, he just ate horribly and sat around, even on stage.
