The reason he didn't get the Bond role isn't his poor acting skill (come on - it's not like Pierce Brosnan was any better in that regard).

The real reason is the fact he's gay.

I honestly believe Craig fooled the Bond franchise stakeholders into believing he was straight - I mean he put a lot of effort into it - he's even married, and not to a random woman off the street he could easily pay off, but to a successful beautiful actress.

So, they aren't taking any chances now - and it's not like Cavill is even really trying hard to hide it - you can easily verify with a single google search that he's a flaming faggot.

given how badly Michael Shannon's performance goes wrong in MoS I'd say Cavill was saved by not being asked to do anything very much. he dodged a bullet but it says nothing positive about him as an actor.

Shannon gave an Oscar winning performance as one of the greatest villains in fiction next to Eisenberg Lex, so I don't know what the fuck you're talking about, you weirdo. He was robbed btw - like if that loser Hopkins could get a pity Oscar, Shannon could get one he deserved for Zod

He didn't get the role because he was a 22 year old who looked babyfaced, came to the audition with a stubble and slicked back longish hair and wasn't any good when it came to the acting either. Daniel Craig was a miscast, especially when you consider they had Clive Owen who everybody wanted and who's ten times the actor Craig is and looked classically Bondian, but Craig sold himself out like a whore to Barbara. Homosexual men can easily sell themselves to women for work.

We'll never know because he didn't get the training regiment Craig was on to make him look tougher. Craig was the only one stupid enough to take the job back then, that's an ugly truth. He realized this which is why he became so bitter. As it stands, everytime people bring him up, it's never "Oh, yeah, Daniel Craig" like with Connery or Brosnan, they always mix his name up or forget it. He's on the same rank as Lazenby despite being in the role for the longest. Now THAT's a charisma vacuum.

A small line put so much into context that it is ingenius.

Snyder made four of the best villains in the history of fiction via Zod, Lex, Doomsday, and Steppenwolf, and Darkseid would have been there two if he had movies to himself, but as it stands Darkseid/Desaad surpass villains like Lecter, Vader, etc. in being memorable and chilling

Iโ€™m a little concerned that they got a director before they got their Bond. Now itโ€™s up to Villenueve. But Bond has never been about the director, itโ€™s about fucking Bond. The directors come and go. They should have prioritized nailing the casting (Aaron Taylor Johnson) and then taken directorsโ€™ calls. Now who the fuck knows what Villenueve will do, there are already rumors that he wants to cast some beady-eyed pudgy ginger.

Villeneueve is only doing the movie just so he can say he did it but has NO decision-making power on ANYTHING. He'll just point the camera. He's not deciding on Bond, the script, anything. It's already well accepted that the new Bond is ATJ. It'll probably be announced for Global Bond Day in October like they did Daniel Craig back in 2005 (20 years ago).

He also transitioned from being fast-tracked to big budget, A-list stardom and starring in superhero movies, to preferring indie movies. They donโ€™t like Bond to be too famous before they cast him so itโ€™s pretty obvious he tipped off that he was the favorite and told to slow his roll

The ATJ fan is way off the mark. Barbara would've never cast ATJ because he's too famous and well-established. She was actually going for a younger unknown like Tom Brittney or Leo Suter. Amazon doesn't care about surprising people and making careers so they will just cast ATJ, who's the most popular choice after Cavill, and be done with it. Look at who they got as director. The most popular choice after Nolan. They will make people settle for sloppy seconds instead of Nolan/Cavill which would've been a 2billion cultural phenomenon.

I always thought Clive Owen would have been a great bond, especially knowing now what we got with Daniel Craig. Unfortunately he is too old for the role now.
