Do the people pushing this conspiracy know that John Stewart is also employed by Paramount? He's maybe not as TDS 24/7 as Colbert became, but if the orange man's looking to axe dissenters ...

Reports are the show has been losing 40-50 million a year, for years. That's a big pay cut & also wtf why is a fucking talk show that expensive

This, trump wanted Colbert fired as part of CBS's copulation to him along with the 16 million bribe. To make it not so blatant, they're letting Colbert's contract expire instead of firing him outright which would bring more attention to trump's massive cover up for Epstein given Colbert was one of the biggest people on TV bringing attention to it.
>So >*smiles smugly* >*raises eybrow* >Drumpfie >*audience laughs into their sleeves* >I mean come on >*audience starts to howl in big gales of stupid laughter* >*Colbert rips off his his clothes as his face turns red* >DUUUHNOLD GRUMPF >*audience begins rioting and destroying the studio* >WE CAN'T LET THIS GUY HAVE THE NUCLEAR CODES >*a primordial, coruscating chaos descends upon manhattan* >*millions have epileptic fits from the bright flashing clouds* >HE HAD TWO SCOOPS TOO MANY >*fleshy tendrails sprout from Colbert's back as his face begins to swell* >*the audience dissolves into a stew of screaming meat* >AND ITS TIME TO IMPEACH >*ascends to the astral plane* >*brings forth rivers of blood and oceans of sorrow* >DUMOLG HRUMPFFFHHH IS A LITERAL HITLER >*sentences humanity to 1000 generations of subjugation to the dark powers*

nah, that picture is at least 6 years old, given the fact that Conan appears in it. he was just acting like the two faced cunt he has always been.

I'm holding out hope that someday he will bring back the old Colbert character
I watched Colbert Report everyday and even his books were really funny.
Stephen can be really funny, when he's in character.
It's pretty clear at this point that Trump's holding the Epstein list as leverage. Despite going even harder on his mandate the media and dems are only putting up a token resistance - nothing compared to 2016. I take it that the agreement is to let Trump do what he wants while other "problematic" leaders like Bolsanaro and Duterte are allowed to be deposed

it's as if operating under several layers of irony is sometimes funny and, importantly, a good mask for someone whose genuine self fucking sucks.

A lot of Colbert Show bits weren't really political at all. Some were straight copies of Conan O'Brien bits by writers that used to write there.

I think paramount was the first to blink. The two Jimmys and Seth are going to be fired next. Late night talk shows are a money pit. The format is dead.
>>212869838
It's in his contract
Also they probably want to get everything they can out of one of their top performing shows before it goes off air forever

Talk shows used to be entertaining when it focused on a variety of world events, instead of continuisly discredit Trump and right wing politics
Talk shows got outclassed years ago, by podcasting. Which is dominated by comedians, who align more with republican views on freedom of speech, opposed to democrats who advocated the ruining of careers over a joke or a unpopular opinion
hasn't done anything his entire career. maybe he will do another stadium tour with AOC in a non voting year and then brag how they free tickets filled an arena which was already all democrats
>>212872078 >unfunny
Fun has nothing to do with it.
The left took a hard turn into extremism
Voters in the middle, influenced by podcasts, from comedians who were traditionally left wing, but got pushed out by disingenuous news media and a hostile entertainment industry

In all honesty, CBS saw the writing on the wall and knows that the le leftist funny man isn't that profitable anymore especially with Bill Maher the OG leftist funny man moving hard right.
>>212872520
lmao hard right oh please, this literally just boils down to elite jews being more worried about left wing antisemitism (leftists actually organize and do things) than impotent right wing antisemitism and signaling where the bread is gonna be buttered from now on. None of these clowns are having changes of hearts they're just showing that they'll be good goys for the state of israel.
>>212871990 >colbert vocally opposed presidential candidate, twice >faces consequences for picking the losing side
Bernie has been in politics too long to be this naive about how the game works
>>212872726
I didn't say anything about any of that. Compared to what he did after he took over the late night spot on HBO from Dennis Leary, he's basically a fascist. When he was on HBO, he was an unironic stalinist.
