It kinda is. I noticed this while I watched the movie. This was a childlike, "aw, gee, shucks" Pollyanna version of Superman, which feels wildly out of place in a 2025 Superman movie. Even farmboys from Kansas aren't "farmboys from Kansas" anymore. He had no edge, he had no cynicism, which sadly, made it feel weird. He was just purely GOOD, in the mid-20th Century vision of what a GOOD man was. He was kind, and nice, and sweet, and polite, and not the angry, moody, gloomy, murdery Superman we've gotten lately. (Although yes, he did straight-up eye-blast a bunch of people.) It was like they ported a Silver Age Superman into a cynical modern world, which, if I'm being honest, is what we need some more of. Watch the 1978 Superman again, and this one feels a lot like that character, in contrast to the Snyder one.
