On topic, Mars Express was great, really unexpected ending and tons of great designs, I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Their animation is 1000 times smoother than japan's that's for sure.
They did some amazing shit in the 70s and 80s.

And i recently watched season 1 of tintin from the 90s. I finally found a fucking torrent with french audio. Unfortunately it was dubtitled instead of subtitled, so all the names were wrong and you can tell they re-wrote parts. It wasn't bad overall, but not as good as the books. Because despite each book being spread across 2 episodes, it was still far too rushed.

I saw another modern-ish one called april and the extraordinary world, that was good too.

It's pretty good. I's mostly a decent detective story and the setting is not cyberpunk grimdark but more of a ... "sanitized" future where everything seems to be a-ok on the surface level with tension underneath.
It does veer off into GitS homages here and there but extremely good overall.

Summit of the Gods is my favourite french animation
