Cont. Maybe their movies wouln't all flop if THEY WERE MORE SPREAD OUT

Maybe then I'd have something to watch every month instead of 8 new releases in 2 months! Strictly on blockbusters.

Guardians of the Galaxy did a lot of money in august 2014.

This is what people want.

A perfect movie is a wholly inoffensive piece of product that is just marginally entertaining enough to get everybody from 6 to 69 and from Zanzibar to Berkley Square to go out and see it. It cannot offend, either sexually, socially or politically. It cannot challenge. It cannot trouble. It cannot provoke thought. Which a large chunk of the audience would consider troubling. It cannot deal realistically with culture as it must be immediately comprehensible to audiences in every country. Vaguely mythological fantasy with its universal archetypes and eye candy FX is safest.

Everything on that list will be complete and utter garbage. It doesn't even matter if there are some originals there instead of the usual franchise slop of sequels/remakes/reboots because even the originals are garbage nowadays. It's over. Bury Hollywood six feet in the ground.

They're making too many expensive movies at a time when people are tightening their belts.
A trip to the cinema is no longer a good deal. A lot of people have 65" televisions and surround sound systems in their home. They can eat and drink whatever they want while they watch their movies and they don't have to roll the dice on whether or not there will be a gunfight or chicken jockey event going on around them.

Agreed, don't get why they are so expensive now, The Creator cost $85 million meanwhile The Flash cost $300 million and you can see difference in cgi, its crazy.
>A trip to the cinema is no longer a good deal.
Debatable
>A lot of people have 65" televisions and surround sound systems in their home.
Not true, no tv will compare to an Imax screen on sheer size and sound
>They can eat and drink whatever they want while they watch their movies
Yes

As a compromise and on balance a 65" television with Dolby Vision and Atmos is a good enough trade-off for trudging to a cinema and spending ยฃ12 for a bucket of popcorn or whatever it costs nowadays.
If you went to see all of these movies you would probably spend enough to go on a cheap two-week holiday. People will choose a holiday.
