So far the biggest enigma to me is Lo'ak.
I see what is the Kiri's role and purpose - she is sort of Chosen One shit.
I see what the Spider's role and purpose - he is sort of linking piece between the humans and Navi.
But Lo'ak so far is mostly about the side shit, like the romance with a water chick and typical 'im stranger to them' shit, which is the theme basically all other kids share anyway.
I feel like so far he is just there to be sad about the brother.

They are two different scenes, according to the leaks we got the nomadic tribe get attacked (we see that air battle in the trailer) and the sullys end up in the forest, during that whole ordeal Spider runs out of air (we can see his mask beeping orange lights in the trailer) until he runs out of air and passes out but Kiri uses her Eywa powers to grant him the ability to breath, Quaritch and Jake team up there to protect their children.
That second image of the kids running away from the fire arrows is the same night where the Ash clan arrive to the reef with the RDA, and when Jake is captured.
If you wanna check it for yourself take a look at Kiri's clothes to make a timeline, she's using that green vest at the beginning and during the whole first attack, while later she uses the same wood chest spiral thing she used in TWOW

So where does the story go? The first movie was like Dances with Wolves and was a visual spectacle with some cool art design that reminded you of Aliens. But the second movie just got a little weird. It's lost it's human element. The humans are just the bad guys which is not really a captivating concept. They need to switch things up from the colonialism is bad theme.

They have seen that Jake moved bodies and Kiri is able to control animals. They surely want that power.
