some call it postmodern, but it's not just a critique of traditional story structures, it's a subversive project all-together
no one really grows, everyone gets fatter, everyone gets worse personally and relationships fall apart and so on
no one has a real story arc, it's not a narrative in the traditional sense, it's a character study in a realistic universe
it's just watching a group of people decline and watching their culture and way of life decline
people just think about the whackings or one liners and think it's a quirky mob show, but it's more evil than that unfortunately
