All those montage scenes where he is just standing there silently or hovering in the air over people he's there to rescue, that's playing him up as a godlike figure. Lex won't shut up about him being a God, in JL he is literally resurrected. Even the first film, Jonathan won't shut up about how he shouldn't save anyone until he's ready to take on the role of being God for humanity. The Snyder films goes way out of it's way to play up the God element, of using mysticism and symbolism to show the heroes as more than humans.
An actual example of demystifying heroes is the marvel shit, with all their bullshit quips and undermining itself constantly. If there is one thing those films did well, especially early on, it was to humanize the heroes. Iron Man is captured and humbled taken from being a playboy without a care in the world to being confronted with the consequences of his carelessness, and most of the film is showing the iterative process of creating the suit. Thor spends most of his first film being de-powered, literally lowering him down to "our level". Captain America spends like an hour showing us why he's worthy, and even after that he still spends time as a glorified PR puppet after getting the powers just to reinforce it.
