The conspiracies are red herrings designed to lead nowhere and are irrelevant to the general plot aside from serving the movie's themes.

An aging manchild being distracted by schizo bullshit while his life falls apart around him is the core of the movie. The "point" is showcasing the pitfalls of millenial angst and how getting lost in the glamour of youth, degenerate urban living, and and perpetual adolescence is dangerous and shortsighted.

Notice that all of the clues come from teenage childhood hobbies - comic books, cereal boxes, videogames, all causing him to spiral further into delusion and decay. At the end of the movie, he faces the camera directly while the CEO explains to him his plan to live underground and ascend to a new spiritual plane. This is the movie telling you "yes, billionaires have intricate schemes to live forever and fuck young women, there's nothing you can do about it, now get off the internet and go pay your rent".

In this way it is quintessential millenialcore.

The movie is about Sam who's been in a schizophrenic rutt since his he and his girlfriend broke up (the woman on the billboard). Throughout the movie the universe is trying to help Sam get out of that rutt by putting him through experiences he could learn from. By the end he doesn't learn his lesson and instead of changing his way of living he decides to "make the most of it" by going back to how he was acting while in the rutt. Or at least that's what I think it's about. Its really about anything you want it to be about and will probably mean different things for everyone based off of their life experiences. It's a piece art. One you examine and cum to your own conclusions about. And whatever conclusions you get to will probably say a lot about who you are as a person

The people who made this movie made a bunch of coming of age movies so why would this one be different? But for some reason when I looked there isn't any coming of age mentioned anywhere about this movie. The movie is about Sam transforming and becoming able to live in the world around him while also eliminating many perceptions of the world he used to have that were holding him back.

The movie has a lot of false starts which are about Sam realizing things about the world around him or instances of symbolism where people may not understand what they're seeing on the screen.

Birds are in the movie a lot I think this was an owl or some other kind of bird dropping its meal in front of Sam maybe accidentally. Which is funny because squirrels are about resourcefulness, and the owl killer that is haunting Sam is rumored to be a part of an American cult with origins in trade and finance. He then later fights off the owl woman with the pistol he takes off the music man during the moment when hes learning about the music and during the second half of the movie that has a lot of the coming of age moments.
