>>212932142They're hit or miss, but Superman Smashes the Klan is up there with What's So Funny About Truth, Justice & the American Way? (Another series you should read because it was made as direct rebuttal to the whole 'Superheroes should just kill the bad guys' craze of the 1990s. It also got a movie 'Superman vs the Elite' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WnNxOhWtBbg) for me, the comic version also fleshes out Superman a lot more in coming to terms with himself and how he created his original outfit.
Also, it's not everyone's cup of tea, but consider listening to the original radio drama, I find it even more impressive because it was done entirely live.

Also fun fact. The superman radio show crippled the actual KKK of the era which was seeing its third resurgence after World War II. A reporter in the south infiltrated the KKK and learned most of their trade secrets, and when the police refused to do anything, he went to the Superman radio show who's writers created a plot that integrated his work, like the secret codes of the Klan while also pointing out it was mainly a racket to make money off bigots.
Even more fun fact: The Klan retaliated by going full cancel culture against the superman radio show trying to organize a massive boycott against its sponsors like Kellogg, who to their credit dug in with their support of the radio show.
