This would've made for a great film until they completely destroyed the concept and made the old guy into this fucking feminist/nu-male boogeyman that is evil because he makes women give birth to his babies...or something. It's pretty clear that they wrote themselves into a corner by making the blind man far more sympathetic than the alleged protagonists, so they added the insemination to make him evil. But the movie doesn't build up to the twist at all, so it feels completely unearned.
