I just watched Heat 2 weeks ago and I saw TDK at midnight in theaters. It's a very good movie - especially for capeshit - but it's highly overrated aside from Ledger's performance, which carries the whole thing.

The movie was carried by Heath Ledger being an insane retard and pulling off one of the best performances in movie history at the cost of his sanity.

The rest of the movie was and is shit. Mediocre acting from the rest, cringe dialogue, contrived storyline, localization is shit (Gotham feels like any regular city and not like Gotham), etc.

If it wasn't for Heath Ledger's Joker nobody would remember this shit.

Awful dialogue. Terrible performances from all but Ledger. Dull, badly edited action scenes. Unnecessary Hong Kong sideplot. Weak third act and dud ending. Wasted villain in Two-Face.
