No, that show doesn't count.
>>212935915 (OP)There NEEDS to be a full retard M3gan vs Abigail kino.
There aren't any actually, I gave the vampire diaries a try but only got to season 3 until I dropped it
>>212935915 (OP)There's really no comparison
>>212935944It was always great. The only reason it was hated upon release is because all the monsters were CGI in a time when they were still mostly costumes, but if it came out today the CGI monsters wouldn't strike a single person as out of place. In fact they hold up better than a lot of modern effects.
>>212936016My favorite scary vampire movie. Characters were also written better than in the original comic.

recently watched picrel recently because Marilyn Manson has mentioned its influence on his work on more than one occasion, i really enjoyed it. very moody and a cool take on the genre and its conventions. the intro is probably one of my favorite openings of a horror film, it stuck out with me almost more than the ending, i almost wanted a movie about that more than what we got.

Captain Kronos
Rise of the Lycans
>>212945069Holy based. Rise of the Lycans never gets any recognition despite being easily the best of the series. Captain Kronos didn't fully live up to the hype for me, but considering how few vampire action movies we ever get and how much worse they usually are than vampire horror I completely understand how it found its fanbase.
>>212945256Back when that movie came out I had some shitty cam of it, me and my friends must have watched it a dozen times stoned out of our minds, it was so fucking kino.
>>212945256Yea, being starved for any sort of vamp kino and going in with zero expectations for Kronos probably elevated it more than it should have in my mind, but you gotta take what you can these days.
Any movies involving vampire hunters that, through faith in Christ, overcome vampires and demons alike. Any movies 'not' involving such elements as these are dogshit.
>>212945699You just made me realize nobody said From Dusk Til Dawn yet. Watching it blind the second half twist feels absurd, but when you think about it it's really the perfect way to complete the priest's story arc.

Modern Vampires starring Casper Van Diem. It's Richard Elfman and Matthew Bright's vampire masterpiece (same director and writer as Forbidden Zone, which is the greatest movie ever made).

Does I Am Legend count? In the original books the infected were literally just vampires, the movie however decided to go with something more like zombie/mutant thing so idk.
