The movie never really provides a convincing rebuttal to any of Luthor's problems with Superman or the issues Lois raised at that interview in the beginning. You're just supposed to forget about them because super dog funny lol
>>212950655 And we’re supposed to take his word for that? The video of his parents telling him to take over and enslave the world is authentic and pretty damning stuff. Superman’s excuse that only the bad part got corrupted and he never heard it sounds pretty flimsy. Not to mention that he basically gets to singlehandedly dictate global policy since no one can stop him. And the whole interview with Lois shows that he’s pretty thin-skinned and doesn’t take kindly to people questioning his judgment.

>>212950734 Maybe from the perspective of some people in the film, but Superman proves them wrong by his actions. And as the audience, we know he's not there to take over the world, so the movie clearly rebuts that.
>>212950883 >but Superman proves them wrong by his actions Not really, though. Taking down Luthorcorp could just be seen as him neutralizing the one organization capable of stopping him
