Studios don’t think they need to pay actors a lot why they use big IPs to sell the movie. Spider Man sells not Tom Holland. What massive selling moves has he been in outside Spider Man? Why didn’t get some big name to play Superman where in the past studios would’ve demanded big names be the movie. Because Reeve was unknown they brought Brando and Hackman and both got top billing and higher pay then Reeve who was playing the main character. Same happened with Keaton with Nicholson getting top billing in Batman. Happened again with Schwarzenegger getting top billing and pay over Clooney as Batman
